2020 School Triathlon - Event Maps & Info
In preparation for our upcoming IronKidz we want to give children the opportunity to experience this event using a similar environment. We are therefore having our whole school Triathlon at 3 Mile Bay (the change from last year's venue @ 2 Mile Bay is due to the Lions Walk upgrade).
On the day of the event ALL children and their Bikes must be dropped off from 8.45am at the end of Heeni St at the designated area (this will be sign posted). Teachers will be there to assist you. Bikes can be picked up once the event is over from the bike transition area at the end of the event at the 3 Mile Bay car park from 1pm.
All children will have a briefing of the course with their teachers in the morning, before the event begins. We expect that the first race will commence at approximately 10am. The races will happen in the following order - please note there are no specific times allocated, this is a guideline only.

As with Ironkidz requirements, and for safety reasons, All children MUST wear shoes for the bike and run leg.
Children who are not biking will exit the water and complete the running course. BBQ sliders will be available @ 2 sliders for $5.
Team Ahi (Year 1 and 2) Triathlon will take place in the morning and they will travel by bus back to school.
Whenua and Wai aim to finish the triathlon around 1pm and then walk back to school. You are encouraged to take your child and their bike from the event. Please make sure you let your child’s guardian teacher know before you leave.
